DATANAMIC Solutions ANNOUNCES DEZIGN FOR DATABASES V3.1Hazerswoude - January 6, 2004 - Datanamic today announced the release of Version 3.1 of its popular data modeling tool DeZign for Databases. This update introduces support for views, support for index options and adds Firebird and DBISAM V4 databases to its list of supported databases. Version 3.1 also incorporates various other refinements, and an assortment of fixes for reported issues.
DeZign for Databases is a database development tool using an entity relationship diagram. It provides full support for ER-modeling (Entity-Relationship) techniques. DeZign for Databases visually supports the layout of entities and relationships and automatically generates most popular SQL and desktop databases.
Some of the new features in version 3.1 include:
- Views are supported now. You can create views using a query builder.
- Add options to an index.
- MS SQL Server comments on tables and columns can be exported to the SQL script.
- Firebird database creation is supported.
- The application now uses the new DBISAM components so that DBISAM V4 tables can be created.
- Improved logarithm for automatic relationship line positioning.
